What Is Wind?

At the age of 4, I asked this question countless times of my father. "Wind is the air moving", he would reply. "It is what makes the leaves on the trees move, your hair to blow wildly and freely, the clouds to move across the sky. It is what allows the birds to fly and the waves to crash on the shore."

"Papa," I would ask, "Is God the Wind?"

Enablers

From a quote I read here on my own blog, on the Quote of the Day -
( I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is the victory over self ) - I came to this:

Evil ( Satan ) has many agents ready to present any and every kind of error to ensnare souls; heresies prepared to suit the varied tastes and capacities of those whom he would ruin. It is his plan to bring into the Christian church ( not a building or Christian denomination - but family of God and Jesus ) insincere, unregenerate elements that will encourage doubt and unbelief, and hinder all who desire to see the work of God advance, and to advance with it.

If we are to call ourselves Christians, are we to be false Christians - Enablers of Satan's plan to turn the hearts and minds of those trying to be good Christians? Are our words and deeds in keeping with the message Jesus came to bring, and died for, or are our words and deeds helping to bring about the changed hearts and minds of those that Evil demands?

How do we, who call ourselves Christians, rate ourselves in this regard?

Spirit Horses

Doing, I know you are of Native American descent. I found this song I thought you might appreciate.

Spirit Horses
by Annie Humphrey - Anishinaabe Indian

Thunder, Fire and Torment
Hunger, Need and Fear -
Slavery, Grief, Confusion
Freedom waiting near -
The sound of Spirit Horses'
Hoofbeats in the sky -
Smoke and Blood and Ashes
Dreams too strong to die 0
Find us, Spirit Horses,
And teach us how to ride -
With 7 generations of promise at our side.

Mothers, Fathers and Childern
Creatures young and old -
Called by mothers drumming
Of sacred hoofs on stone -
The sound of Spirit Horses
Dancing on a storm -
Mercy for the people
Old ways, New dreams reborn.

Find us, Spirit Horses,
And teach us how to ride -
With 7 generations of promise at our side.

"My music addresses many of the things I feel strongly about," says Humphrey. "Love is hard to find and should be cherished. We need to care for children wherever they are in the world. Alcoholism and abuse are human problems everywhere. People everywhere need healing. No one should judge another person by the color of their skin. I consider anyone who walks in a sacred way and honors the earth to be indigenous to our planet." - Annie Humphrey

"I'm just a human being trying to make it in a world that is very rapidly losing its understanding of being human." - John Trudell

If The World Could See Tomorrow

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A-way!

-- It would be a Blessing if this was the feeling throughout the world.
